Know How to Prepare for Common Disasters at Home and Learn Survival Skills to Survive in the Wild on Your Own

What is the purpose of a human's life? We'll get to that later.

But first - would you know what to do when a wildfire sets ablaze, a flood happens, a hurricane strikes, a tornado hits, or an earthquake occurs...or when there is a world crisis of food shortage and everybody in your household is starving?

Or what about if you were in an accident and lost in the middle of nowhere, or worse...stranded on a deserted island on your own with no form of human contact or communication away from civilization?

Just how are you going to handle yourself in these situations?

Sounds extreme? Perhaps. But thinking it can't happen to you? Think again!

The biggest mistake is to assume such incidents can't happen to you because...they certainly can to anyone when least expected, and if you haven't thought about what to do by then, it may be too late and you won't survive.

The key to survival is to always be prepared and already possessed the foundational knowledge of basic survival skills.

By taking the "Survival Skills Express," your destination includes:

- How to survive out in the wilderness with bushcraft skills using only whatever you can find in your environment.

- How to live off the grid with homesteading for self-sufficiency and self-sustainability without ever relying on anybody else.

- How to manage natural and man-made disasters at home to keep you and your family safe and away from harm.

- How to do prepping the right way so you're always prepared to have what you need during any emergency.

- How to get your body to peak performance shape to strive in the most extreme living conditions and situations.

- Also, personalized hands-on exercises and applications to put everything into action on how to be a true survivalist.

...and much more.

At the beginning we asked what is the purpose of a human's life. Have you figure it out by now? It's about survival, long enough for procreation.

You can never know all what life has in store or what is going to happen. Yet, the best thing you can do is be prepared. And that is what survival skills are for - in times of the unexpected when you need to survive. So be a survivalist, or be wiped out from the gene pool. Your choice.

First of all, this is a very short book. Perhaps pamphlet would be a better word. But it includes a lot of information in the course of a short time and really motivates you to start thinking about, ‘what if?’ It awakens the natural hunter instinct and makes you want to look up how to make a spear and fish with it. Naturally, the MacGyver in all of us wants to survive and we make movies about zombie apocalypses and post-nuclear war because we are fascinated with watching people serving on their own without all the technology that we have. Perhaps with similar fascination we like to observe how people in extreme poverty get by with just the necessities. In this book, we are really made to face the questions, ‘are we prepared’ and ‘would my loved ones survive because of my preparation?’ The questions become less mysterious the further we read in the book. Chapter 2 lists possible dangers we could face: flood, fire, earthquake, or general major accident. We are then instructed on how to ready for such events – what items to have in the house, what food items to store, how to store them, etc. It includes lists as checklists that one could take to the store and pick up when convenient. Once the family is relocated into a wooded area the skills are introduced: starting a fire, setting up camp, acquiring water, finding food, and signaling for help. Following is an exercise to actually put your supply kit together. What good is talking about survival if we don’t do anything to prepare for it? The book actually advocates the practice of setting up a camp in the woods and giving the idea a dry run. Find out if you could actually survive. The book concludes with practical “bushcraft” techniques. Bushcraft is the art of surviving by using your knowledge of nature and your surroundings. It gives very practical ideas that you could possible hear on any of those survival reality shows where contestants try to survive in the wild with only a few items. “Eat for fuel, not full” is a very practical statement. The idea is to survive, after all. Not thrive necessarily. Over all, the book is useful and above all it motivates you to think about preparing for a disaster. Most people think about it but this book actually shows you specifics on actually how to achieve it.

Do you know what to do when it floods, or a fire breaks out? How about if you get lost in the wilderness, could you survive? Scott Graves and KnowIt Express have pulled together tons of information that can help you survive in situations like these. The unexpected is just that unexpected and if you were to get stranded would you know how to survive? I asked myself that question when I started reading this book and some of the information I knew and some I did not and when I finished I could honestly say that I might survive on what I already know and I might not. Surviving doesn't just mean surviving if the apocalypse hits, it also means surviving through earthquakes, floods, fires, and of course Hurricanes and Tornado disasters as well. Those major disasters can leave you without potable water, electricity and other modern conveniences that you are used too. Knowing what to do and when to do it is important and that is just what Scott Graves and KnowIt Express do. In this book, they give you the information on how to survive some of those disasters. There are some of us that think of the current survivalists as nut balls or crazies because they think that the end of the world is coming and want to be ready for it by stockpiling food and building their underground bunkers. Being a survivalist doesn't have to be just that it is much more. Someone that goes camping without an RV could be considered a survivalist because they are removing many of the modern conveniences. The big thing that Survivalists what us to think about is if modern society wasn't here is how we could survive if it wasn't here. We have all seen the movies where someone is on a trip and gets stranded somewhere, whether it be an island or in a desolate place. You need to know how to protect yourself, stay alive and get to civilization so that you can let people know you and others with you are alive. This includes things like finding food, ensuring water is potable, how to start a fire without a lighter, and other important information. There was some information in here I didn't know and was glad to find out. In closing, I would like to say that I would definitely suggest this book to friends and family as well as keeping a copy of this book with me at all times. I may print certain pages out and keep them with me just in case my electronic device loses power and I can't get it recharged somehow.

Survival Skills EXPRESS Know How to Prepare for Common Disasters at Home and Learn Survival Skills to Survive in the Wild on Your Own Do you know of someone who is a prepper? Do you wonder what being a prepper is? Do you want to know how to survive a disaster but you don’t have a lot of time and you want a great basic overview. Then this book is the book for you. You will learn the basics of surviving a disaster. Whether that disaster is a fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, epidemic, a job loss, or other disaster. Let’s say it’s Thanksgiving weekend and you are heading up to the slopes to go skiing. It’s dark out and there are almost no other cars on the road, you are driving with the gas tank on empty (the station you usually fill up at was closed). You hit a patch of ice and slide off the road and down an embankment. You haven’t seen another vehicle for quite some time and you are injured and can’t climb up to the road. How are you going to survive the cold? Chances are you won’t be found till morning or even later the next day or it could even be a couple of days before you are found. Are you prepared for this situation? If you aren’t prepared your chances of survival are slim at best. If you had read this book and followed the advice in it you would be much better prepared to survive. Here are what I feel some of the pro’s and con’s are of the book. Pro’s • You can read it in under 2 hours easily even if you are a slow reader. • It is written in a very concise and easy to read manner. • The information is clear and understandable. • Each section of the book has practice activities. Con’s • I wish it were longer • There is no list of books or websites to go to for further study Overall this is a great little book and I would recommend it to my friends and family. ~ I have received this book at a discount or for free in exchange for my honest review.
