I really enjoyed this one. It was nice to see a strong capable woman in a bodyguard role even if Annie is a little over the top at times. Rocco was great. Hollywood A-lister trying to branch out and do a serious but he's receiving some backlash in the form of threats against him. Therefore, the studio is requiring him to hire a bodyguard. He's not too happy at first but once he gets a taste of Annie's talents he's all in! Fighting the attraction between them may be difficult but they can do it. Right??? I highly recommend this one.

Last First Kiss by Sidney Halston is the second book in the Iron Clad Security series. This book is one that is really close to my heart because I too was an MP in the Army. Annie is the little annoyingly smart sister to Joey Clad, the co-owner of Iron Clad Security. She is one of the best when it comes to computers but she has the combat training under her belt and she is ready to get into the fight as an actual security guard, except everyone seems to be against her. Rocco is the playboy actor looking at playing the lead in a movie that will make his career, yet this movie is one that people don't want to be made. Rocco is forced to get a bodyguard but he didn't expect what else he would get when he hired the feisty girl in the conference room. These two have great chemistry, they are well developed, instant lust but a slow growing love and I love that as tough as she is, Rocco brings out her softer side and gets her to open up about what happened to her while she was in combat. Thank you Sidney for writing another amazing book and one that I hope ladies can look up to this heroine/soldier.

Annie’s struggling to make her brother see her as an equal in their security company. After all, she’s ex-military and has survived catastrophic conditions while serving her duty. Unfortunately, to her brothers she’s still just their baby sister. When the film company Rocco is contracted with demands he have a full time body guard due to threats and violence regarding his upcoming movie, a woman is the last thing he’s expecting. However, after Annie shows him what she’s made of and walks out, he refuses to settle for anyone but her. This book has it all. Drama, angst, humor, mystery, suspense and romance sprinkled with plenty of heat. I loved everything about this story! The characters are well developed and even though I’m usually not a fan of the tough nitty gritty heroines, I really liked Annie. The role reversal between the usual protective hero and the needing to be protected heroine, was written well and was so unique and unexpected. This is not your typical alpha hero, but don’t count him out ladies. He’s absolutely certain of who and what he wants and he remains alpha to the very end. If Annie’s brothers are this protective over her, I hope this author has plans to give them their own stories. I’ll be all over that!
