The Almost Queen I approached this with a great deal of trepidation. The Arthurian legends are near and dear to my heart and I couldn’t think of a way the author would be able to turn one of the most infamous love triangles into a happily ever after. I can safely say I am pleasantly impressed. This story takes the broad strokes of the original, the details that make it recognizable, and tips the whole thing over on its ear. If only the original could have been salvaged with this little bloodshed

Arthur and Gwen have been betrothed since birth but they think of themselves only as friends. When Gwen and Lancelot become an official couple, Arthur focuses his affections on Dindrane. Gerda attempts to keep her prophecy from happening by keeping to herself and her head down. These three quick reads are full of intrigue and romance, with each ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the 4th volume of 3 stories based at the Grimm Academy. The stories are a retelling of the Grimm Fairy tales but with a twist, that all end with a HEA. The students are all at the Academy because they have a prophecy against their name, but can they stop their prophecy coming true. The stories in this volume are: The Almost Queen: a retelling of the legend of Guinevere and Lancelot - The Rightful King: a retelling of the legend of King Arthur - Frosts and Fears: a retelling of The Snow Queen I enjoyed reading these books and would recommend them.
