Greenwood has written yet another engaging, funny, spirited story of young adult love that gives readers a fly-on-the-wall interloper vantage point. The settings for this book are both unique and inviting, while the wonderful characters draw you through the pages wanting to know "what will befall them next". Ceb & Evie were seemingly from to different worlds. Yet, the more they were together, and learned about the other, those differences took a backseat to the commonalities. There were both funny and tender moments sprinkled throughout the pages. Simply perfect! I can definately see reading this book again when I yearn for a brief respite from life's realities. Escaping into Obscure Academy's walls and reconnecting with old friends is the perfect lazy afternoon. Join me?! I did receive an ARC of this book, but this review is completely honest and voluntary. That was such incredible fun. On the face of things, Evie and Ceb should be complete opposites: the cheerleader and the nerd. And yet, it didn’t take very long for the pair to realize how much they have in common. I thought these two were absolutely adorable together. Their competitions pushed both of them to be better, while they so sweetly looked after one another. I think I fell in love with each of them as they fell for each other. I received a complimentary copy of this book

Evie, a hellhound-shifter, is a cheerleader, although she does not appreciate Zara's strict leadership. She finds it impressive that the team placed third in competitions. While on a team-building field trip, Evie encounters Ceb, a fellow hellhound-shifter who is involved in the Chess Club. This quick read is fun and romantic, ending in what looks like a HEA. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
