I really enjoyed this one. It pulled me in from beginning to end and was an interesting take on the fairy tale. I like how things developed and the twists that were taken. Nothing went too far to remove it from being recognizable a fresh take of it. I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between them and seeing how they fall in love with Azade wanting to avoid her prophecy but realizing that maybe she doesn't want to do that by ending things with her prince.

While I liked this story, I didn't find it quite as interesting as the other Grimm Academy books. The couple in this book do not have a prophecy until their parents announce their betrothal-a betrothal that neither of them particularly wanted. In order to make their forced times together more enjoyable, she starts telling entertaining stories. Read to see how they end their prophecy. It was so incredibly sweet to watch Azade and Ryar get to know and fall for one another. They may have practically grown up together, but that didn’t give them any insight into who each other was. It was fun to hear Azade’s versions of several of the student travails we’d already witnessed. I also found it interesting that compared to so many of the prophesies that have come before this pair, this was a remarkably low risk, low angst hurdle to overcome. I received a complimentary copy
