This is the third book in the Southern Crimes Series. Even though you could read this one alone and follow along well, I would recommend reading the first two first. This series focus on one family, therefore the history and background of this family is important in understanding all that is happening. Plus the first two books, Dangerous Passage, and Fatal Exchange are good reads too. Michael Hunt is an undercover cop that has been presumed dead for months. When the tables turn and his identity is revealed the stakes escalate. Will he be able to make it out alive or will his family never realize that he is actually alive? Will his undercover work really make a difference and bring down the cartel or is it all in vane? Olivia Hamilton is a journalest in search of the truth about her father. Yet she is not certain that she is ready to hear it. When difficult circumstances must have her choose between right and wrong will she put her life on the line to do the right thing? This is a fast paced, surprising novel. There are many twist and turns throughout this book. If you enjoy reading contemporary, Christian, cop type romances you will enjoy this novel. I love the Hunt family bond and their relationships throughout this book. I was given a copy of this book from net galley for my honest opinion.
