About this eBook

Living Jainism explores a system of thought that unites ethics with rational thought, in which each individual is his or her own guru and social conscience extends beyond human society to animals, plants and the whole of the natural world. The Jain Dharma is a humane and scientific spiritual pathway that has universal significance. With the re-emergence of India as a world power, Jain wisdom deserves to be better known so that it can play a creative role in global affairs. Living Jainism reveals the relevance of Jain teachings to scientific research and human society, as well as our journey towards understanding ourselves and our place in the universe.

I have read a book on the Jain religion but it only had like 200 paper book pages and the last 70 of that was all about Indias history so technically i have read 130 pages during my 40 years of life on the Jain beliefs so i bought this Ebook which is turning out to be a real page turner if you are looking for a cheap only ten dollars book on the religion of the great teacher and prophet Mahavira, i highly suggest this book for people who are relativly new to Jainism, i am not a jain whatsoever but i defitly agree with some of its teachings like to respect all forms of life including insects, i have saved the lives of spiders, centipedes, flys, bees and whatever else has gotten trapped in my home where we have nine cats, i love dogs and cats, but my beliefs are centered on the Lord Yahweh and his Son Yeshua and their Holy Spirit, praise be to the creator God for inspiring so many righteous humans throughout history from all nations, get this book to learn and grow in knowledge...
