About this eBook

Snowbound with a runaway countess, an English journalist finds more than shelter—he discovers a love that could change their destinies forever. Will they brave the storm together?

British journalist Howland Brandt never imagined his assignment in Bohemia would leave him stranded in a fierce snowstorm. Desperate for shelter, he stumbles upon an opulent yet isolated chateau where Countess Ludmila Riga offers him a bed. The price? One night in her arms.

Married off at a young age to an elderly nobleman, Mila has lived a life of stifling luxury while longing for true companionship and relishes having this handsome Englishman snowbound by her side. Yet, as the snow begins to thaw and the world outside beckons, both must face the reality of their circumstances…

Months after their passionate night, Mila discovers she is carrying Howland’s child. Now she must flee with her unborn baby in the hope of reuniting with him.

Can Mila summon the courage to break free from her oppressive life and leave Bohemia with Howland? Will their love be strong enough to bridge the difference of their backgrounds and the distance between their homelands, and embrace the family they never expected?

The story began well but gradually became mundane and boring as it went along. I enjoyed Book 1 far more.
