Good collection of well written (and well-priced) novellas, of which I'm usually not that big a fan. Still, I couldn't resist the allure of someone delving into those all-too-familar ads from the comics of my own youth. Not really all that scary but maybe I'm becoming a little immune to horror (after all, I follow politics pretty closely). To me they read - quickly mind you - like just barely R-rated episodes of 'The Twilight Zone'. But Hunter Shea is a writer I'll definitely look more into over the coming months and he accomplishes a hell of a lot more in 70 pages than many authors do in 700.

Hunter Shea is the author of the novels Optical Delusion, Just Add Water, Tortures of the Damned, The Jersey Devil, The Montauk Monster, Sinister Entity, Forest of Shadows, Swamp Monster Massacre, and Evil Eternal. His stories have appeared in numerous magazines, including Dark Moon Digest, Morpheus Tales and the Cemetery Dance anthology Shocklines : Fresh Voices in Terror. His obsession with all things horrific has led him to real life exploration of the paranormal, interviews with exorcists and other things that would keep most people awake with the lights on.
