About this ebook

It all started with an itch...

Arriving home to Los Angeles from a weeklong business trip to Japan, Brian Pace contracts the deadly Shinjuku X virus. Six months later and lucky to survive he wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by death with one thing on his mind: his wife Veronica and his five-year-old son Jackson.

Brian sets out to reconnect with his family and is tested again and again, ultimately forcing him to redraw the rules of what he considers right and wrong, struggling to stay inside them. In a world where the only law is survival some rules are meant to be broken. And they will be.

Horrible. There are editing mistakes on nearly every page. The characters are flat and unconvincing. There are more mistakes concerning weapon terminology and automotive knowlege than I can list here. Added to which; the main character goes down a morally depraved road to such a length I deleted the book around page 65. I couldn't even finish it. Good concept with a bad execution.

In haste to cut to the chase and not sound like the previous like minded writers, a few corners got cut to say the least, which might account for the spelling errors. Still, the writing is good, story fast developing and not choked by typical sentimentalities. Let's hope the follow up will live up to the hype.

Plot had potential but characters were ridiculous. Main character is in a coma for 6 months, wakes up and within 24 hours is running, fighting and killing people with his bare hands. The writing itself contained too many adjectives, overly dramatic.

About the author

Hello Everyone, I'm Marc Sloane.

There is nothing I love more than an intriguing story. To me, plot is of utmost importance. Ever since I was a young child I would stare in amazement at the stars, cooking up stories and bouncing around ideas. And that has never stopped. My mind moves a million miles a minute, and I oftentimes wish I had a spacecraft that could do the same thing.

When I am not working on my next title, I am a Director of Finance for a large multi-national corporation, building out complicated spreadsheets and financial models for the self-styled masters of the universe I work for, which is why I so look forward to inching my stories forward to completion.

I currently live with my girlfriend of two years in Sunny, Thousand Oaks, CA, but grew up in the windy Mojave desert, in the Antelope Valley.

At the end of the day, Marc Sloane doesn't exist without my readers. I thank each and every one of you for reading my stories! I have seven works-in-progress and I plan for many more to come, so stay tuned!

Marc
