About this eBook

A gorgeous read full of hope, warmth and heartfelt emotion from the Sunday Times bestselling author ?

‘The feeling you get when you read a Milly Johnson book should be bottled and made available on the NHS’ Debbie Johnson

Laurie and Pete should never have met.
But fate has pushed them together for a reason.

Six months ago, on the same night, Laurie and Pete both lost their partners.
Struggling to manage the grief, they join the same counselling group – and meet each other.

From their sadness, Pete and Laurie find happiness growing and they sense a fresh new beginning.
Except, the more they talk, the more they begin to spot the strange parallels in their stories.
Then Pete discovers a truth that changes everything.

But, as surely as a compass points north, some people cannot be kept apart.

My One True North is a story of friendship and what love means, of secrets uncovered, teashops on corners and the northern lights.

This was such a lovely book, I am a big fan of Milly Johnson, I don't think I've ever read a book of hers I didn't love, and this was no exception. She just gets the mix of humour, emotion and 'feel-goods' right every single time. Laurie and Pete, the main characters, have both lost their partners recently and are struggling to come to terms with things, so they are advised separately to join a small counseling group run by the lovely Molly (from a previous book 'The Teashop on the Corner') with people in similar situations, and immediately get on well. As the story goes on, and Laurie and Pete's friendship slowly develops, secrets and mysteries are slowly revealed and things are not quite as they seem with both Pete's wife and Laurie's fiance. As usual the characters were all so fabulous, good or bad, and this is definitely one of those page-turner books that you won't want to put down. Loved it - just a shame that I've now finished it and will have to wait until the next book comes out!
