Dead on Arrival: A Protective Hero Police Romance

Alma and Cree have many obstacles to overcome. Both in their relationship and in the search for a serial bomber and murderer. Ms. Severn creates characters and settings that are beautifully and frighteningly realistic. There is a lot of action and character interactions. It is part of a series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I am loving this series and can't wait for the next book!!

This book was fantastic. It’s light on the romance but makes up for it with pulse pounding action. It starts with a literal bang and just gets better. I loved the slow burn between the two main characters. Alma and Cree were two people secure in who they were, intelligent, confident and mature. And the action just seemed to be nonstop. I never felt like the story dragged. More like it dragged me along on an exciting adventure I was more than happy to take with the author. Highly recommended.
