About this ebook

Curses. To believe or not to believe…

Violet Anderson believed.

How could she not when the proof was right in front of her? And her curse … well, it meant that, like her mother and older sisters, she was doomed to spend her life pining for a man who would undervalue her.

Not that she would allow that to happen. She’d never met a man worth pining for.

Then Simon Jennings walked into her bookstore. Aside from being hot enough to put her brain on the fritz, the man was not her type. He was one of those nice guys—the kind who opened doors and didn’t try to cop a feel during a simple goodnight kiss. Since the curse ensured nice guys would never fall in love with her, Violet knew her best bet was to stay as far from him as she could.

Too bad Simon didn’t get the memo.

When Simon’s charm proves too powerful to resist, Violet gives in to the undeniable chemistry. After all, it’s not like she would fall in love with a handsome stranger after one night, right?

I always love a trip to Coyote Ridge and the Walker family to catch up with this, ever increasing, family. Violet Anderson, a Walker cousin, owns and manages the bookstore in town. The appearance of Simon Jennings, a podcast host, follows an invitation from author Holt Callahan, a Walker spouse and friend. Their attraction is immediate and their relationship develops quickly. This novel is beautifully seasoned and is on the spicy side but suits my taste to perfection. As always, Nicole Edwards serves up characters and storylines that ensure the attention of readers and keeps us begging for more! The addition of new characters to Coyote Ridge has my fingers itching whilst waiting for their star to rise and become part of the extended Walker family. I know which couple I'm hoping for next!

Why did it have to end?! This book is HOT and fun. Violet and Simon are a perfect match. Violet is unlucky in love until "nice guy" Simon comes walking into the bookstore. Though there is a quick falling in love for the two, the story is still easily believed. I loved getting to see some of our favorite characters from other series. The best part was being on the opposite side of the OtB Task Force, getting another perspective from characters that are not on the team. And of course the introduction to a couple new characters that hint at future stories. I cannot get enough! Suspense, romance, comedy, this book has it all! Definitely another 'must read' book by Nicole. Patiently waiting for the big reveal of the mystery case!

This is the story of Violet and Simon. She thinks she is cursed. To spend the rest of her life pining for a man that she can't have. She was destined to be just like her mother and older sister. Always pining for a man who undervalued her. When she meets Simon though when he comes into her book store, she knows that she will never have a shot with him. He is after all the kind of man who will open doors for a girl, is smoking hot, and showed up and out for Violet. He is more than determined to prove to her that that curse she thinks she is under is false. This book is so good. I really loved these characters. I loved that Violet owned a book store but hated what that curse has done to her self esteem. She is sweet and comes off a little innocent but she is smart and witty and has a family full of cousins who can be so overprotective. Simon is all the things you would probably want in your dream man. The man is charmin
