About this eBook

A new Dark, Delicious, Deviant Romance coming from the New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters.

“There was a boy once. A boy who wasn’t strong enough to save me when I was taken.

There was an owner once. An owner who bought me, entrapped me, and made me his unwilling goddess.”

Eleanor Grace is a naïve dreamer. Trusting and young, she believes her book-loving boyfriend can save her when her freedom is snatched and sold. Squirrelled away to an island at midnight, delivered to a man even darkness won’t touch, she’s bound by a contract.

Sullivan Sinclair is the giver of fantasies. Any wish, any desire—he is the master at quenching even the filthiest appetites. His private paradise and perfectly trained goddesses are there for one purpose: to ensure every guest is extremely well satisfied.

He bought her.

He trapped her.

She belongs to him.

Once a Myth is sort of a flashback to a small room where Tess Snow and Eleanor Grace meet and are waiting to see what their destiny hold. If you are a Pepper Winters fan you know that Monsters in the Dark- Tears of Tess is one of her most read and highly recommended series to date that was until The Goddess Isles came to be and we are introduced to Sullivan Sinclair and his private paradise and perfectly trained goddesses who are there for one purpose: to ensure every guest is extremely well satisfied, he is after all the giver of fantasies. I love being reacquainted with characters from other series who make appearances during the introduction to Goddess Isles. Be aware this is a series and each one will end in a cliff hanger so don't be upset if you are the type that cannot wait till the next book then I recommend waiting until the series is completed before reading. However, I tend to leap in, knowing that Pepper's writing is dark and usually messes with my head so I need a break before jumping into the next one. Once a Myth will not disappoint in setting up the scene of what is come! So excited

Wow, a dark story that will have you finish the story in one sitting! Pepper writes another dark tale that had me staying up till 2:30am, because I couldn’t stop reading it. Eleanor is a strong, resilient woman trying to survive being trafficked to Sully. Sully for want of a better word is torn between his rule of no playing with his goddesses and his need for Jinx. The turmoil between the two is real as Pepper weaves her story towards Jinx’s preparations for Euphoria. Before I turned the last page, I knew I would be left in a cliffhanger and “Twice a Wish” needs to be out ASAP! I liked that Pepper brings in characters from her other novels!

Ahh, this is classic Pepper Winters!! She has always been my favorite author when it comes to reading dark romance and this new series felt just like coming home. I don't know what that says about me that I enjoy her stories so much, especially with what they entail, but I could not put this book down. I was completely enraptured with Sully and Eleanor. Eleanor - or Jinx as Sully calls her, poses quite the conundrum. He has never been tempted with any of his other goddesses, but this girl, young woman, tests him at every turn. She causes him to lose that carefully controlled calm he has perfected. Sully, I haven't decided whether I love him or hate him just yet. The things he does are disgusting, buying trafficked women to provide sexual services to clients on his remote islands. The way he sees these women is positively barbaric, and gross and makes you want to kill him. But the subtle hints we get along the way tells me there is SO much more to Sully that we haven't seen yet, and it is going to be quite a journey getting to know him. I really loved the conflict between Sully and Eleanor. She's a proud, willful, strong young woman who is not going to submit to Sully and what he expects of her. And Sully is absolutely going to do whatever it takes to get this woman to kneel at his feet like all his other goddesses have done. There's just something different about her though, and it doesn't help that she fits the description of his perfect, ideal woman. I have to admit I would love to spend years on Sully's islands, just not doing what is required in order to do so. Pepper is just scratching the surface with this first book in the series, and I am dying to see what is in store for the rest of this storyline. If you've read Pepper's other dark romance stories, you will feel right at home with Sully and Eleanor. If this is your first foray into her taboo world of human trafficking, strap in tight for a dark and twisted tale.
