Book 1 in the Legacy of Lies series and this is the continuation of Tripp and Jolie’s story who we met in the prequel Thorne of Lies. This book will have your emotions all over the place but in the best possible way as we catch up with Tripp and Jolie ten years on from the first book. Jolie went on to be a successful high fashion model and her success is partly due to Nina who pushed her in all the right directions but now it’s time to stop traveling the world and settle in New York with her dream of designing her own jewellery line and to be closer to Nina. Tripp and has spent his time building his own company that fights and exposes people who like his father steal from others with high powered Ponzi schemes but it’s now time to face his demons and return to the city that broke him and that’s New York. Tripp and Jolie are successful because they partly built their careers on the emotions they both feel because of their past, they share the anger and hatred felt for their fathers and each other but it’s only when they meet again that they realise they still love each other and it’s only when Tripp digs into the company their fathers ran that they find the common denominator is Nina ....... A second chance romance that’s full of anger and heartbreak but is it now time to forgive and forget and is that possible without destroying others on the way. This book captivated me it took over it’s a love story like no other I have ever read, I felt for Tripp and Jolie and that is due to the amazing talented Tara Leigh who really pulls you in with her beautifully written stories. This story had me wishing with everything I had for a HEA for this couple because throughout the book you knew one would not find happiness without the other, a match made in heaven, soulmates who needed to find each other again. This is a must read series please do yourself a favour and one click this very different romance.

5 Star Review Park Avenue Princess (New York City Romance #1) by Tara Leigh Set 10 years after Throne of Lies which is also included in this book, Park Avenue Princess is the continuation of Tripp Montgomery and Jolie Chapman’s story and what a story it was. This is a second chance at love story that will draw you in and keep you captive from the first to the last chapter. It’s time for Tripp and Jolie to finally face their past and one another; they have a shared hatred for their fathers and one another. Both have had successful careers and yet there is something missing. There’s a fine line between love and hate and when they finally come face to face again, the lines will be blurred and they realize that there is still love between them, but is it enough? This is not a traditional love story. The twists and turns woven throughout will only build your anticipation. As Tripp and Jolie investigate their fathers company, they will be shocked to discover who is involved. This was at times an emotional roller coaster of a read, not to mention steamy and passionate, which at times moved me to tears. Tripp and Jolie are two halves of a whole, if only they can come to terms with the past, forgive and move on. The question is will they? Ms.Leigh has written a story that I had a hard time putting down and is one I happily recommend.

I absolutely love this book! Tripp and Jolie’s love story is beautifully written, emotionally charged, and about second chances. Previously published as Legacy of Lies, this novel is guaranteed to take you on a journey full of heartbreak, hope, and love. As a young couple, Tripp and Jolie were deeply in love when their world was torn completely apart. Now, 10 years later, both Tripp and Jolie are trying to pick up the pieces of their lives. When the two reconnect, sparks fly even with the remaining feelings of hurt between them. It is evident that while Tripp and Jolie have matured, they have both been greatly shaped by their pasts. With all of their strength and resilience, they each have their flaws and make mistakes thus making them seem so real. This book is full of twists and turns, lies, secrets, stunning revelations, and betrayal along with forgiveness, compassion, and second chances. Their road to happiness is full of trials and obstacles and I really enjoyed how everything played out. Park Avenue Princess is an entertaining story that completely enthralled me. The author’s storytelling is remarkable and the book moves at a great pace. The characters are well developed and likable and I enjoyed the drama and suspense. I definitely recommend this book!
