Advanced Raised bed gardening is a complete guide to successfully growing vegetables in a raised bed. this book is a great resource for anyone interested in gardening. It not only goes into detail on how to plant vegetables from seeds or plugs but also provides information on harvesting vegetables as well as the care of vegetables after harvest. Even though this is called an advanced guide, it is not only suitable for experienced gardeners but also a good resource for beginners who are trying to learn how vegetables grow and how vegetables grow in a planter box. The author provides details on the vegetables he has had success with as well as vegetables that are not suitable for planter boxes and looks also at some of the more advanced crops that you wouldn't think of growing. If you think you have a brown-thumb I would recommend you to read Peter Shepper's first book "Introduction to Raised Bed Gardening " which will build your confidence more. The Hardback version is so luxurious and has all the wonderful images in beautiful colours.

Advanced raised bed gardening is a book that can help with many aspects of growing in small spaces and in containers. The author, Peter Shepperd, gives tips and techniques for planning and creating an organic garden, caring for plants, harvesting, and storage. The book has over one hundred pages with full-sized photographs to aid the reader in their gardening tasks. This book would be useful to someone who has some experience with gardening and wants to improve their skills by learning new techniques such as square foot gardening or container gardens. It may also be good for people who are completely new to gardening but want to learn about organic methods before causing irreversible damage to the land around them. Really loved this version.

About the author

Peter Shepperd is in his 40s and whose interest in gardening started when he decided to give his family access to fresh, homegrown and organic food.

Peter has been studying new gardening approaches to diversify his experience and skillset. His experimentation has allowed him to figure out what works and what definitely doesn't.

He disagrees with the use of pesticides and chemicals. He has decided to produce this series of books to cover all aspects of growing, gardening and organic sustainability.

Peter has spent over a decade experimenting with different gardening techniques and perfecting his approach to growing fruits, vegetables, herbs and other plants. Not only this, but he has learnt how to make the most of each part of the food that he grows.

Teaching others has become his passion as some affordable, and straightforward practices have entirely transformed how his family gets access to healthy, delicious, nutritious and affordable food. This is what Peter wants to share with the world and help to slowly transition more and more people away from the often tasteless vegetables that are purchased in supermarkets and are heavily reliant on the use of chemicals that damage the environment, to homegrown organic healthy produce that is more than the sum of its success because it has helped develop the person that has produced it too.

Peter lives with his family near Windsor in England.
