Carol holds your attention with pure substance , his narrative is so intriguing he doesn't have to resort into cheap tactics of sex and gory violence to engage the readers . what I love is the workings of Winter's mind , the amazing thought process of the eccentric genius , he reminds of a rather 'approachable ' Sherlock Holmes

The best of both series so far, this tale introduced to us what could be Jefferson Winter's arch nemesis! I can see an ongoing thread with character Amelia Price developing & I wait with baited breath as to what may possibly transpire in the future. This time round we know "whodunit" but not the why .... I loved the game of cat & mouse between Jefferson & Amelia! Suspenseful, intriguing plot had you turning the pages lickety split & I literally could not read fast enough. My new favourite author!!
