About this eBook

Big-city Lawyer. Country Farmer. In the normal course of events, their lives would never intersect . . . But some accidents aren't meant to be avoided. When attorney Reggie Meyers crashes into Dylan Monroe on the freeway, it makes a bad day even worse'or so she thinks until she discovers she's the prey in the deadly hunt of an unknown killer. Now, trusting this man she hardly knows is Reggie's best chance for survival. The problem? Reggie doesn't trust anyone. When Dylan catches a glimpse of Reggie's ransacked apartment, his protective instincts kick in. He wants to help her, but she's not inclined to believe a simple country farmer has what it takes. Reggie doesn't realize Dylan knows a lot about hunting—and being hunted. He's up for the task of trapping a killer, keeping Reggie safe, and winning her heart—if she'll let him.

Attorney Reggie Meyers is having a bad day. First of all she loses a court case and because she's brand new, she worries about her job. And then driving on the way home. she thinks she might have a flat tire so tries to cut across a couple of lanes, and as she's doing that, a dog runs out in front of her. Slamming on her brakes, the battered pickup behind her can't stop in time. Adding insult to injury, she gets the ticket. Dylan Monroe is a dairy farmer ... one with a heart of gold and anxious to help Reggie in ny way he can. Doesn't hurt that she's beautiful and feisty. Dylan winds up taking her home and finding that someone has broken in and trashed her apartment. Later there is someone firing gunshots at her. Reggie has learned not to trust anyone ... but she feels much safer when Dylan sticks around to protect her. Who wants Reggie dead ... and why? This is fast-paced with a lot of action and several twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. Throw in a little romance and it's quite an enjoyable read. The characters are almost too good to be true. Dylan has a habit of winking almost every time he speaks to Reggie .... the only real negative I found. This is a Christian author, so there's quite a lot of talk about faith and trusting in the Lord that everything will turn out okay in the end. Many thanks to the author / Backlit PR / Pelican Book Group / Netgalley for the digital copy of this Christian Romantic Suspense. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Whether as an educator, a writer, or a speech pathologist, she believes in the power of words to transform lives, especially God's Word.
