I found in this book the amazing back story of how R. Lee Ermey got started in Hollywood, encouragement and tactics for personal growth, and a deeper appreciation for the Gunny and his commitment to service. It's a great read.

God bless the Gunny! I've been a fan of R Lee Ermey since Full Metal Jacket, and it's been a real treat to have a closer look at the man off the set and get to know the real R Lee Ermey a lot more. Very practical, very honest, very funny...thats the Gunny!
