When I got scooped up in a giant net and shoved in a locked room with a bunch of other people, I knew it couldn't be good. Then a bunch of blue aliens started waving guns around and ripping our clothes off and I knew it really couldn't be good. I've never been the sort of person to give up, so I crawled into a ventilation shaft and got out of there as fast as possible.
I didn't know how I was going to survive this, no one trained me how to escape from aliens, or how to deal with the end of the world, I was just winging it. Days of hiding with no food or water left me desperate though, so when I found a cell with a tray of food left out, I took a chance.
Unfortunately, this cell comes with a big, red alien with scary horns and rage problems.

Years of fighting, blood rages and loneliness had left my mind a clouded wasteland. I existed only to battle in the syto arena, shed more turoch blood for their entertainment, with no thought to the future. What future was there to think about? I was trapped, with no hope of escape, and no hope for something better.
Then a small female crawled out of a vent in my ceiling. Naomi doesn't treat me like a monster, she doesn't smell of fear or disgust when I loom over her. Trading my rations for her company seems like a small price to pay for the gift of having someone speak to me, sleep near me.
It doesn't take long for me to realize I'll do anything for the female who's fallen into my lap. I'll fight for her safety, kill to keep that smile on her face. Noami is everything I've ever wanted, and everything I don't deserve.
Reba Max loves all things romance and reads nearly as much as she writes. Her favorite heroes are a little more monstrous than human, and she's a sucker for a fancy beard. When she's not writing she's flirting with her husband, chasing her toddler around or playing dinosaur survival games to fulfill her thirst for adventure.
