Quinn and Max shared a relationship that was intensely passionate, until it ended abruptly. Thirteen years later they are face to face, the reunion tense. Quinn and Max now have to navigate their necessary proximity. Max knows he messed up all those years ago, Quinn wants to leave their history firmly where it belongs in the past, keeping her eyes on her goals. I enjoyed the journey that Quinn and Max traverse as they deal with unresolved emotions, hurt feelings, recriminations, forgiveness, attraction and strong chemistry. The story is well written and nuanced weaving together strong, complex family bonds and the reunion of Max and Quinn.

This is my first book by this author and I can't believe I hadn't discovered her before. The story centers around Quinn and Max but it's also about family and the love and support between those people. The chemistry between Max and Quinn is undeniable and I love how they are able to communicate, even if after some miscommunication, and reach an understanding. Overall, I enjoyed this immensely and will be picking up other books by this author.
Bridgette Katsane
Awesome book, wonderfully written. I just wish there were a bit more to the ending... We never know whether she actually decided not to go back to ATL, their working dynamic after the relationship. A simple epilogue would have tied up the story beautifully. But I definitely enjoyed reading this.
