Max is another great book in this awesome series. What I loved most about this book were the characters. Max and Jules aren't your typical characters you expect to see in a contemporary sports romance. Especially Max was a great character and the main reason why I loved this book. In most sports romance the guy is a player and doesn't really want to commit to one girl. Max was the opposite, he was done playing the field early on in his career. He wanted what his parents had: a rock solid never ending romantic relationship, where the fire is still burning even after so many years. I also loved how Jules and Max met. It was very unconventional but it really showed what a great guy Max was. Jules is also amazing! She is strong, independent, loyal and protective. She is taking care of her two nephews and a niece and working two jobs. It was beautiful to see how Max lifted her up in times of need. He was such a great support and helped as much as he could. Max is one hell of a catch, and I'm kind of jealous of Jules that she managed to take him off the market. This was a great sports romance with amazing characters, I also enjoyed touching base with the characters from the previous books. But I especially enjoyed the epilogue where we get to see how Jules and Max are doing now, it really brought a smile to my face. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Michelle Monroe rated a book really liked it 3 months ago Max by Sawyer Bennett Max (Cold Fury Hockey, #6) by Sawyer Bennett (Goodreads Author) Read Read in September 2016 *Received a free copy via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* This is the first book I've read in Miss Bennetts Cold Fury series so I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't know the character, or their back stories but I had no problems following the story, so I am assuming you don't need to read the others before reading this one. I'm not sure how I felt about Max in the beginning, as all he kept saying was how beautiful Jules was, that seems a bit vain to me. But, he definitely redeemed himself in the story. And I guess, you have to be physically attracted to someone at first, makes you want to get to know them and all that. Max turned out Being this super sweet and sexy guy. He is the starting Goalie for Cold Fury and of course had tons of fans and women just throwing themselves at him. When he meets Jules in a confidence store, she doesn't even know who he is. And Max decided he liked that, and wanted to get to know her more. He kept showing up just to spend time with her. Jules is a great character. So sweet and very caring person. She has three small children, working two jobs and isn't sure if she has time for Max no matter how gorgeous she thinks he is. When she finds out exactly who Max is, his fame and all the attention he gets from it seems to be more than Jules can handle. She isn't sure if her complicated life can handle it, Andy she wonders why he would want to attach himself to someone who has so much baggage carrying around when he can have anyone he wants. The thing is, he wants Jules. And he makes sure she knows it too! Nicely written, and characters that have depth, this was a pretty good read. I liked their interactions, the banter between all the characters and let's not forget the hot and steamy parts! *wink*

Absolutely Amazing! Just Brilliant! After reading this book, MAX became my favorite of the amazing Cold Fury Hockey series. This book as all the others in this series can be read as standalone. Max is unlike any other sports hero I've ever read! He's romantic, he doesn't sleep around, he's cute and caring. A modern white knight at heart. Julianne is a beautiful, strong, hardworking, loving and caring character. She's working two jobs in order to take care of her niece and nephews and has time for nothing else. The story is beautifully well-written, with great characters, a swoon worthy hero, and a heroine that will steal your heart. This is one of those stories that truly grabbed my heart from beginning to end. This book is pretty low angst, and a little drama. It's however, completely drool-worthy, heartwarming, sexy, full of romance and hilarious antics. Max and Jules can't deny the explosive chemistry that keeps pulling them together. He's swoon worthy in his efforts to win Jules and that makes me not only fell in love with the story, but mostly with Max himself!! He's got my heart!! I devoured this book and literally found it impossible to put it down. I can't recommend it highly enough!!
