About this eBook

Enjoy this small town paranormal cozy mystery series with an amateur sleuth by author Ada Bell.

A Seer in the City…

While visiting an estate sale to pick up new items for Missing Pieces, Aly gets hit with a surprise: the elderly owner of the estate didn't have a heart attack--she was murdered. Aly's got the evidence in her hands, and the killer is the person offering to sell it to her. Time to make a deal, then call the police.

Alas, no one believes her. The woman was in her 80s and appeared to die of natural causes. Police found no evidence of foul play, but Aly knows what she saw. Worse, she’s pretty sure the killer has powers of their own. As she tries to find evidence to support her vision, someone is watching Aly’s every move. They're always one step ahead. She needs the police to believe her before the executor gets away with murder.

Welcome to Shady Grove: where science meets seances. Sight Seering is the third book in the Shady Grove Psychic Mystery series, which is perfect for readers who like small towns, antiques, supernatural sleuths, and slightly nerdy STEM heroines. Okay, really nerdy heroines. Fans of Stella Bixby, Annabel Chase, Amy Boyles, Lily Harper Hart, and Samantha Silver will definitely fall under this small town's spell.

I really love this series. The author is a lovely writer and tells a fantastic story. When the very quirky Aly has a vision that an elderly lady was murdered Instead of dying naturally, she can't prove it. As she hunts for evidence to convict the killer, she's also dealing with family drama and uncovering family secrets. We get interaction with past characters, which I always like, a lot of humor, and a great mystery with a lot of twists and turns. If you haven't started this series, do so now!

This was another solid book in this series. I liked following Aly as she solves another mystery. This book didn't grip me at first as the new mystery wasn't as interesting and seemed very straightforward. The mystery had some interesting twists and developments later on, but it took me a while to get invested in it. The ongoing mystery about who murdered her brother's wife had some big developments in this on and I was really excited to find out more about that. I liked how Aly uses her powers to help solve the mysteries. There also are some more scenes with her boyfriend Sam in this one, although I still don't fully feel their romance. This book takes place in a different place, but later on there are some scenes in Shady Grove as well. I look forward to the next book!

About the author

Ada Bell knew you'd be reading this. Okay, well, she knew someone would be. (Hi, Mom!) That's pretty much the extent of her psychic powers. A life-long mystery buff, Ada has devoured everything from Murder, She Wrote to Nancy Drew to Psych!, so she was pretty much destined to end up here. Ada loves Scooby Doo, superhero movies, STEM heroines, and cake. Mmm, cake.
