The story is great, awesome i'd say, however, the way is narrated sometimes is annoying, boring and repetitive, don't know if it was the translation or it was originally like this. Except for the 1st book the rest are all pretty much the same, annoying cliffhangers, too many unnecessary descriptions, many interrupted dialogues, the same description of characters over and over, whole chapters with inconsequential scenes or monologues. I've read all 9 books and of every book (except for the 1st) i think only about half of each one is really good, the rest, well, I personally didn't like it. I'd give 5 stars to the 1st book, 4 the 2nd, 3 the 3rd and the rest just 2. It's a good read to pass the time or when there's nothing better to do.

I didn't like the side story ending. Abortion is an abomination. In a fantasy world where everything is trying to kill you, a low birth rate, and the paradigm to normalize it is out wrong.

I cant say this very often, but this series was a series that I found myself not being able to put down. After I started reading Vol. 1 I didn't have the willpower to put it down. This led to me purchasing the next 4 volumes immediately and they didn't disappoint. though I haven't had the time to read Vol. 5 yet I'm seriously looking forward to it and Vol. 6
