About this eBook

Sometimes coming home opens the door to discovering something new.

After Coach Diaz’s funeral, Alex Burke realized there was nothing left for him in Boston, especially after he found out his girlfriend had moved on. Moving back to Colorado, and bonding with his college friends, is what Alex needed to get his life back in order.

Catherine Anderson grew up in the shadow of Coach Diaz’s daughter. The best friend that was always overlooked, Catherine had reservations about the men who had been Coach’s Fabulous Five, especially Alex Burke who always had eyes for Rachel, and didn’t even know Catherine existed.

Coming together to mutually help Rachel through hard times, Catherine and Alex realize they’d had eyes for one another back when. Perhaps now that Alex was home, it would be a good time to explore an adult relationship. But when news out of Boston rocks his world, it just might be more than Catherine can handle.

Catherine and Alex's story gave me all the feels. At one point I had to stop reading because I was crying so hard. I am glad I finished reading it at home and not at work. I would have looked like a hot mess. I was beginning to believe these two weren't going to make it. Catherine had been after Alex since they were both in high school. Alex had also had a thing for Catherine as well but wasn't fond of the age gap. I am glad Rachel spoke honestly to Catherine. Sometimes your friends just have to be blunt. I can't wait to see what match is going to be next. I am thinking it might be Alex's sister. I can't wait to see what happens with this group of friends.

I enjoyed the book very much. I think Catherine was a little too selfish and only thought of herself at the end. And Alex would have done anything for her. But I'm glad Alex stepped up to be a dad to Celia Rose. But I am glad Catherine finally got her head out of her butt and see what she has with Alex is real. And not only think of herself. I really love their story!
