Presley and Sebastian’s love story in The Rebound by Stefanie London, book three in her Close Quarters series, was a hot, sexy, emotional and enjoyable tale. Overhearing your fiancé say he’s marrying you only for his father’s approval sets one red flag too many for Presley forcing her flee the church half-naked. Little did she know that her hot, handsome, getaway driver was the groom’s evil stepbrother and now Perfect Presley has stepped into her twin sister’s role of being directionless; lost without a plan. It was time for her to give up her perfectly planned life and embrace her fantasies. Sebastian Foster has that alpha, bad boy vibe going; hard muscles, square jaw, and eyes that strip a girl. Presley and Sebastian soon explore the most exclusive night clubs in Melbourne, partaking and seeing things that have them wanting a night of sensual sin. These two have sizzling, off the chart chemistry, setting off enough electricity to light up Melbourne. Only one night is not enough, leading to another and another until Presley discovers Sebastian was just another ambitious man using her to get ahead to get information on her ex. It’s going to take a major grand gesture for Sebastian to win back Presley and prove he really cares for her. Ms. London wrote a fun, hot, and sexy, romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, humor, wonderful dialogue, and charming characters giving Presley and Sebastian a chance to have that happily ever after. I highly recommend The Rebound to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Presley Richardson is on her way to the alter when she overhears her fiancé telling his groomsmen he’s only marrying Presley to secure the CEO position once his father retires. Devastated, Presley makes it back to the room to undress and escape out the nearest window. Presley runs, half naked, to the only car pulling into the drive and asks for a ride. The driver is suspicious, but Presley does the twin switch and tells the driver she’s someone else. Sebastian does not want to be at the wedding of his stepbrother, but promised his dad he would be there. Only, once he arrives, a beautiful woman sprints across the lawn and asks for a ride. He agrees—not realizing she’s his stepbrother’s runaway bride. But he’s intrigued. After dropping her off, he receives a call from his dad saying the wedding’s off and Sebastian realizes he’s just aided in destroying his stepbrother’s wedding. Feeling duped, Sebastian returns to Presley’s home to confront her and maybe even get information from her that he can use against his stepbrother. Sebastian, wanting to preserve his grandfather’s company, also wants to become CEO. It’s a business his grandfather built with the purpose of helping others. It’s not necessarily a job Sebastian will enjoy, but he definitely doesn’t want his stepbrother as CEO. Mike wants to tear down the business and sell it off in parts. After being around Presley, Sebastian doesn’t feel right about pumping her for information. He realizes he truly enjoys Presley’s company and their chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS! Damsel in distress-check. Fight for CEO between brothers-check. Off the charts chemistry-check. Happy ever after-check!!! This is the third novel in the Close Quarters series. I have not had the privilege of reading the first two in the series, but can’t wait to go back to read the first two novels. This novel is truly enjoyable and can be read as a stand alone. I loved the talks between Sebastian and Presley. I loved how Presley stood up for herself—even though it was painful to let Sebastian go. Sebastian’s “assistance” with Presley’s darkest fantasies...sooo HOT! I love stories where people do a little soul searching and discover there’s something more to life than money. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
