(Tq for resolving issue ) The ballad of never after is an absolute masterpiece.. The way Stephenie describes the scenes and the emotions of the characters is absolutely brilliant.. I have never read a book so good.. And now waiting impatiently for BOOK 3

Ok I really had to think hard about how to rate this one- the only reason I'm giving it 5/5 is because I'm SERIOUSLY rooting for a HEA after that heartbreak of an ending! Let me tell you, sitting here, typing this review and looking back on it, I'm surprised I'm not balling my eyes out for the fifth time in a row. I also have no idea what I'm supposed to do with myself for the next year while I wait for the final instalment. Thanks for that Stephanie! A few favorite quotes, some of which had me screaming or tearing up cos, um, hello?! This is EvaJacks we're talking about: "Jacks no longer felt like her enemy. He felt like her home". "But she knew they couldn't stay here, even for another day, because she feared one day wouldn't be enough- there would never be enough". "There is nothing of equal value to me". "In the morning, you can forget it. You can go back to pretending you don't like me, and I can pretend that I don't care. But for tonight, let me pretend you're mine".

A fantastic read. This book has all the best elements of a great story. Highly recommend
