I've been looking at places to go diving in the Caribbean, and "Dive and Travel Grand Cayman" by Steve Rosenberg and Greg Bassett made my next trip an easy choice. I have to go to Grand Cayman. The book is very well organized and laid out, starting with the history of the area., how to get there, and what to expect while you're there among others. And then we get to the diving. Oh, the diving. The book divides Grand Cayman into five logical geographic areas and describes the diving in each area in great detail, listing almost 80 dive locations in the process. Each dive site's description includes its precise location, an explanation of how to get there and what you would experience diving that site, and at least one photo, all putting the reader right in the water along with the authors. To top it off, "Dive and Travel Grand Cayman" lists and describes (with a picture!) every type and kind of marine life you could possibly encounter on your trip. If you're at all considering diving at Grand Cayman, read this book. It is by far the best source of information out there on the diving (and dive operators!) of Grand Cayman, as well as the overall experience of traveling as a diver to Grand Cayman itself. I can't wait to go diving in Grand Cayman, and I know you'll be just as excited as I am after you read this book!
