About this eBook

Jamie Silva helps lead a specialized team that works to tackle the difficult jobs. The ones the government can't be party to. When his team is recruited to join an off-the-books task force he knows the stakes are higher than ever before. He just didn't think the job would include seducing the CEO of a major tech company, or that he'd want her up against a wall, in bed or anywhere else.

Tabby Grissler is tired of waiting for Mr. Right, at least until tall, dark and handsome sits next to her at a charity event. He ticks all her boxes, except he's lying to her. Confronted with the reality that her dream guy is a government spy merely marks the beginning. Someone has stolen her tech with the intent to create a global blackout and in order to stop them she'll have to work with Jamie. But she doesn't have to trust him.

Thrown together, Tabby and Jamie must put aside their differences and ignore their chemistry if they're going to get to the bottom of the international theft. But each clue leads them further down the rabbit hole and time is running out.

Errors of incorrect words used, an author's note left in & a part where at the end of the page, in mid-sentence, the next page's story doesn't match up with what was going on. There are also a lot of holes. For example, throughout the book it's all about saving the children & details about the children. No idea how any of that played out. Since the good guys saved the day I guess we are to assume the children, who were brain-washed, transitioned seamlessly, & all united with their parents. Also didn't understand how an unconditioned to combat, corporate girl, could be, beaten, tazed, beaten again, in a Hummer wreck, & falling down a rocky hill because she could hardly stand, could just walk back to their hotel room with their rescuer, take a shower & have sex.

I liked the story (weird as it was) and the writing and characters were OK - but I can only give it 2* as I just get SO hacked off with poor online publishing editing, continuity and typos - at one point there was even an author's plot note that hadn't been attended to. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. .

About the author

It can never be said that NYT & USA Today Bestselling author Sidney Bristol has had a ‘normal’ life. She is a recovering roller derby queen, former missionary, tattoo addict and board game enthusiast. She grew up in a motor-home on the US highways (with an occasional jaunt into Canada and Mexico), traveling the rodeo circuit with her parents. Sidney has lived abroad in both Russia and Thailand, working with children and teenagers. She now lives in Texas where she spends her time writing, reading, hunting Pokemon, playing board games and catering to her furry overlords, aka the cats.
