Whilst the research on entrepreneurial ecosystems is new the practice has been around for a long time. This means it is important to consider historical developments of entrepreneurial ecosystems with new trends in the form of digitalization. Vanessa Ratten is Associate Professor at La Trobe University, Australia. She has twenty years’ experience teaching a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA subjects. Her current research focus is on technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
