About this ebook

The Duke of Decadence has a secret…

Well, to be honest, Bash has several. His father, the Demon Duke, might have been the cruelest man in all of England. Bash hates his own title, the very one he inherited and all the trappings that come with it. And most secret of all, he hopes never to marry and carry on that family legacy. Which is downright scandalous for a duke to even think.

Miss Isabella Carrington is trying not to be seen…

When a young lady of a certain age sneaks into a gaming hell, dressed as a man, she doesn’t wish to be discovered. While her and her sisters need the money, and she could win with her ability to count cards, it would be best if no one discovered she was there. With no male protector and no financial means, this high-stakes game of cards was their last hope.

But of course, the shrewd Duke of Decadence learns all of it in the course of a single evening. And when he comes to her with a proposition…work at the Den of Sins in exchange for his protection and her sisters’ launch into society, she isn’t certain how she can refuse. But Isabella doesn’t want to accept either. The man is everything she hates with his lavish life and decadent ways.

And worse still, he manages to steal her breath each and every time they meet…

Duke Of Decadence is a spectacular historical romance by Tammy Andresen. Ms. Andresen has once again provided readers with a well-written book furnished with a magnificent cast of characters. Isabella and her sisters have lost their mother while their father was away on business. Now their uncle wants to declare their father dead and take over. Isabella feels it's her duty to prevent that from happening. Bash, the Duke of Devonhall, aka the Duke of Decadence, was stunned to find a woman gambling in his gambling club. When he and his friends discovered Isabella could earn them money his co-owners wanted to hire her but he vetoed that idea. Bash and Isabella's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Duke Of Decadence and look forward to my next book by Tammy Andresen. Duke Of Decadence is book 9 of the Lords of Scandal Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"She was tall, but this man dwarted her. Easily more than six feet tall, his shoulders were incredibly broad, his arms massive, his thighs.... She swallowed again, a dry lump clogging her throat. She'd felt those thighs. Powerful. That was the word. Beautiful. That was another. Exciting. She rubbed her heated checks." Zowza! Bash (nicknamed due to his boxing), Duke of Decadence, had caught on quickly to Isabella's disguise as a man in his club, The Den of Sins, as she kept winning. Isabella, dressed as a man and her sister Eliza, had thought to win as much money as they could to help her and her sisters, until their father could return. She had the ability to remember every card played and always won. Plush Bash wanted to hire her to be a dealer in the club. Can I just say this story just gave me shivers of delight? I loved watching the romance unfold between these two.. Tammy always weave the best stories. Plus these dukes? Menace, Vanity and Blasphemy? Oh yes, I cannot wait!!

Having met Bash, the Duke of Decadence, in previous books in this series, I was quite intrigued to read his story. Despite his own poor self-image, Bash is loved and respected by those closest to him, even if he cannot see it. When Isabella Carrington, dressed as a man, starts winning at one of the tables in his gaming hall, Bash steps in and immediately seeks to keep her safe. Whilst Bash may have a checkered past, Isabella and her sisters have enemies that would see their family's downfall and destruction, and Bash realises that if he doesn't step in, he would not be able to live with his conscience. This novel speaks of wounded hearts and a painful history, but there are also wit and hilarity, when one cannot help but laugh out loud. I received a copy of this well-written and enjoyable romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
