I must admit that I was skeptical at first, as I have never read a book about Dragons, but my skepticism was quickly incinerated within the first page of this well written novel. Author Tessa Dawn is a master at telling a story. You will be captivated, stunned, intrigued, and on the edge of your seat with this book. Be prepared to explore every single emotion you have. Your imagination will reach new heights as the pages turn and you will have a hard time putting this book down. Filled with warlocks, shifters, soul-eaters, and oh so lethal, incredibly stealthy, drop dead gorgeous Dragons. True to form, Tessa is so descriptive in her writing that you will hang on every word. You will have the overwhelming need to run and hide at the Dragons rage, melt with the intensity of his tender touch and the need to look away from the brutality of his battles. I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could. I strongly suggest you also purchase Dragons Reign when purchasing Dragons Realm, because you will want to continue this journey of the Dragons. Tessa Dawn grew up in Colorado, where she developed a deep affinity for the Rocky Mountains. After graduating with a degree in psychology, she worked for several years in criminal justice and mental health before returning to get her Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management.Tessa began writing as a child and composed her first full-length novel at the age of eleven. By the time she graduated high-school, she had a banker's box full of short-stories and novels. Since then, she has published works as diverse as poetry, greeting cards, workbooks for kids with autism, and academic curricula. The Blood Curse Series marks her long-desired return to her creative-writing roots and her first foray into the Dark Fantasy world of vampire fiction. Tessa currently splits her time between the Colorado suburbs and mountains with her husband, two children, and "one very crazy cat."
