About this ebook

“It is time to speak of that which we never mention: the prophecy, the omen, the fact that I have come of age…”

In the decades since an innocent human slave was taken to Castle Dragon, against her will, for the sole purpose of bearing a son for the monarchy, much has changed in the Realm: Alliances made in secret have flourished; sons born of veiled paternity have grown to adulthood; and dangerous warlocks, seasoned witches, and cunning shades have risen to powerful positions.

Yet all is not as it seems.

Beneath the shadow of an eerie double moon, a dark, tormented evil is rising…

Stirring.

Awakening.

A prophecy is beckoning: “It is time. It is time.” And a lethal dragon prince is growing restless to seize the throne of his bestial ancestors.

King Demitri will never step aside.

Mina Louvet—indeed, all the Sklavos Ahavi are caught between worlds.

And the web of lies spun by the eldest dragon prince—the treachery, deception, and perversion—may very well spark a war of fire and fury unlike anything the Realm has ever seen—or hoped to survive.

Great reward requires greater risk, and every beating heart will be wagered in this high-stakes game of blood and reckoning.

Dragons Reign is book two of the Dragons Realm books. I would suggest getting Dragons Realm before reading Dragons Reign as this book is the continuation and should be read in order to get the entire story and background. I loved Dragons Realm completely and so I had high expectations for Dragons Reign and I was not disappointed in the least. In fact, I believe this story only grew stronger with this second book. Author Tessa Dawn can weave in and out of a story so eloquently while switching between plots and each individual character’s journey. This book is entwined with danger, seduction, scandal, betrayal, and unconditional love. Fight scenes that will make you cringe, lethal supernatural creatures that will overwork your imagination, and drop-dead gorgeous Dragons so fierce, deadly, and protective over their chosen mates that you will need to remember to just breathe. I give this book a strong 5 stars as it will make you reach into the innermost core of your soul to awaken the dragon that sleeps within us all. Happy reading!

About the author

Tessa Dawn grew up in Colorado, where she developed a deep affinity for the Rocky Mountains. After graduating with a degree in psychology, she worked for several years in criminal justice and mental health before returning to get her Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management.Tessa began writing as a child and composed her first full-length novel at the age of eleven. By the time she graduated high-school, she had a banker's box full of short-stories and novels. Since then, she has published works as diverse as poetry, greeting cards, workbooks for kids with autism, and academic curricula. The Blood Curse Series marks her long-desired return to her creative-writing roots and her first foray into the Dark Fantasy world of vampire fiction. Tessa currently splits her time between the Colorado suburbs and mountains with her two children and "one very crazy cat." She hopes to one day move to the country where she can own horses and what she considers "the most beautiful creature ever created" -- a German shepherd. Writing is her bliss.
