Beautiful classical music and simple sound effects help tell the well-known story of “The Velveteen Rabbit.” This favorite children’s classic tale is about a young boy that receives a stuffed, velveteen rabbit as a Christmas present. One night, the Boy’s Nanny reaches into the toy cupboard and finds the Rabbit. She gives the Boy the Velveteen Rabbit to sleep with. That night, and for many nights after, the Velveteen Rabbit slept in the Boy’s bed. The Boy talked to the Velveteen Rabbit and they played games together. Find out what happens when the Boy becomes very ill and the doctor suggests that the Rabbit be thrown into the trash to be burned the next day.
