1685, Scottish Highlands Catriona Campbell knows all about Nathaniel Worthington, fifth Viscount of Lincolnshire. The determined Englishman is never far from Finlarig Castle, where his sisters train women in their Highland Roses school. And thanks to the fiery kiss they shared nearly a year ago he is never far from her thoughts. Nathaniel knows he should keep his distance from Cat, but when an urgent letter from Queen Catherine calls her to London, he knows he has to escort her. Another well written page turning book from the author, this is the third book in the series & whilst it could easily be read on its own I’d recommend reading the whole series especially if like me you love series. Nathaniel & Cat have featured in earlier books & the attraction between them has been apparent from the start. A long journey to London is filled with sexual tension as the pair verbally spar until sparks fly. The characterisation is very good & several intriguing & delightful new characters are introduced. The pace of the book is good but towards the end the pace increases until the pages flew by. My only quibble was that a villain didn’t get their comeuppance so I hope this happens in a future book as I’d hate for them not to suffer! My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

The Wicked Viscount by Heather McCollum The Campbells #3 Nathaniel Worthington, brother to the women who set up the Highland Roses School in Scotland, is healed from his gunshot wound and escorting Cat Campbell to London at the bequest of the king’s wife. The story deals with their travel to London, finding out that the king has died, dealing with traitors, saving a few people and of course, falling in love. Cat and Nathaniel did not set out to find romance but it seemed to find them in spite of the fact that Cat is definitely not the woman Nathaniel should marry as she is not titled and English and she is unwilling to relinquish her heart to any man after seeing what pain love can bring someone who loses their spouse. This was a fun easy read that had historical basis (with the king’s death) and though perhaps not entirely believable an enjoyable way to spend the day. Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled-Amara for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4-5 Stars

Become immersed in history with a romantic adventure as Heather McCollum tells another enthralling story with her amazing descriptions and characters that draw you in from the start! Cat, a scottish lass knowing she will not trust love after a bad childhood, is at Finlairg Castle at the school that teaches women to defend themselves as well as many other skills. Known as a healer she is called to the Queen in London and ends up being escorted by Englishman Nathaniel Worthington, who's sister runs the school. Having shared a fiery kiss over a year ago, he knows it will be hard to keep his distance on the journey. Of course their attraction is combustible and hard to deny. But there is a lot at stake with the many secrets and all of the intrigue of court. Will these two be able to find love and happiness or be denied due to what the secrets reveal? I truly love everything this author pens and she is on my forever read list! So so not miss this amazing tale that will keep you turning the pages as fast as you can!!
