About this eBook

Detective Darek Blake thought the secrets of his past were long buried, but when a young girl is murdered in a familiar way, finding the killer will not only bring back memories he’s repressed, but give him a golden opportunity to impress the FBI.

So, when his partner, Special Agent Lizzy McNamara digs up evidence that’s a little too close to home, he’s shaken to the core. The worst sin he’s ever committed bubbles up, threatening to destroy his future.

Are the Zodiac killings a coincidence or is someone toying with him, and if so… who?

Warning: This is the first book in a thirteen-book series. Every book has a cliffhanger of some sort as we're telling the story of a serial killer. There will be a book out on the last Thursday of every month until we get to December, where book 13 will reveal everything. We invite you to join us on this year long journey and try as hard as you can to figure out... whodunit! There is cursing, violent situations, a bit of gore and murder in almost every book. Enjoy!!

The plot and story was good, HOWEVER the sex scenes were way to detailed and made me not want to read anymore. Why can't a book be written without that? I won't read anymore of this writer's books. It's ashamed too because the plot was so good and kept me guessing. I will never know who the killer was which is a shame, but I was not going to read the nastiness. If you don't like bad language and explicit sex details don't waste your money.

This prequel was great! I voluntarily received an ARC and i loved it. Enough humour to brighten up the dark subject material in places. A few minor gaps on the crime solving side that i thought would have been mentioned (they would know she had just been sexually active but no mention etc) but it might come up later as the story continues. Ending on a cliffhanger im reLly looking forward to the other books!

Do not spend any money or time on this book unless you plan on reading the entire series. This book isn't a story and then the next one is a new story. This one just ends mid climax, like the series is going to cover one story over multiple books. So far it's pretty good, but now I'm just hanging It's like most other books: everyone's hada bad childhood, boy meets girl, it's tense and then, I assume because this isn't a complete story, they end up together while solving the case. So frustrating.
