About this ebook

'This is totally, brilliantly original' STEPHEN KING

WELCOME TO BLACK SPRING, A PICTURESQUE TOWN WITH AN HORRIFYING SECRET...

A 17th century woman with her eyes and mouth sewn-shut walks Blacks Springs streets... enters its homes... and watches its people while they sleep.

They call her the Black Rock Witch.

So accustomed to her presence, the townsfolk often forget what will happen if her eyes ever open.

To protect themselves the Black Spring elders use high-tech surveillance to quarantine the town. Frustrated with the lockdown, the town's teenagers decide to break the rules and go viral with the haunting.

But no one foresees the dark nightmare that awaits them all.

Oh God. So bad. So very, very bad. As others have stated, I'm sure, extremely misogynistic. The author has a breast fixation. Enough said about that. The book starts off scary but by the end, the witch is a very sympathetic figure who actually doesn't do anything to the town. The townspeople do it to themselves. As the the main father of the story, if there was ever a figure who deserves to die for what he does to one of his sons (his least favourite son. Can't believe i had to write that), this dad deserves the worst.

Very much enjoyed, elements of Steven King and Clive Barker in there which suits me. Was hooked up untill the end which seemed to be rushed and loose a bit of the reality to the charcters that had been built up.
