Alien Evil Santa is holding the shopping mall hostage and Jody is caught up in the situation where she meets Aldyn, a Detyen and discovers that they are mates. They team up and fight Evil Santa together to prevent being given as a sacrifice by taking down the force field and closing the portal. It was a cute read, but I did not quite feel the chemistry between them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love the Detyens and have all the books but this 'holiday read' falls way short of Kate Rudolphs usual high standard. And if I read the words Evil Alien Santa one more time I will scream! Jody and Aldyn are equally weak characters and if this is your first Detyen read then I doubt you would pick up another I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Very Disappointing

Another cute and quirky holiday read. These yearly little romps into sweet and cute are always fun. Jody and Aldyn face down an evil alien version of Santa, find out they're mates, rescue themselves with the help of a (kind of) holiday elf, and completely fail to get he holiday shopping done in this little adventure. Aldyn is a Detyen, so if you've read almost any of Mrs. Rudolph's books, you'll recognize the mate premise. You don't need to have read any of her, or Starr Huntress books to enjoy this one. This is a holiday short, so the plot is quick and straightforward with little trimming-that's kinda what short is isn't it? Anyhow, it's written in first person perspective (the only short coming of the book in my opinion, but that's me) from both Jody and Aldyn. Definitely a sweet pick me up for the upcoming holiday.
