In Stolen Djinns, V.T. Bonds has created the second episode of her Djinn series, which is part of the Depraved Monsters and Decadent Myths collection. I was totally entranced by Zuli and her two Djinn-mates, Ke’nu and Kai’tau, in the first episode, and now my enjoyment continues in the second book. The three of them have accepted they are fated mates, a triad. But the two Djinns are starting to learn that having a human for a mate may be more complicated than they originally thought. Zuli is a dauntless, independent spirit. I loved her character. She was starting to come into her own power just when calamity occurs for the Djinns. There was plenty of steamy action in this tale, and plenty of suspense. I’m also so impressed with Bonds’ phrasing. Her writing is so enjoyable to read. My only complaint is the story was too short. I need more! Five stars for Stolen Djinns.

This was a hard story to read. I just wanted to kill Zuli's mates in this book. Specially Kai'tau. I wanted to throat punch that Djinn so bad. I wanted Zuli to rip his heart out the way that she did her attacker. In no way did Kai'tau or even Ke'nu prepare her for what could happen when they wanted to take her to their realm. They both just insisted that she go despite her not wanting to go somewhere she was unfamiliar with or had a bad feeling about. They both thought they could protect her and both learned to late just how wrong they were. Leaving Zuli alone to suffer the consequences in an unfamiliar realm. I'm not sure how this is gonna get an HEA but I'm sure V.T. Bonds will make it happen and in a way that I will love :)) All of her books are amazing... and in most of them she has made me hate the hero of the story before I loved them so I'm sure this one won't be the exception. I can't wait to read the next book to see how she is gonna mend my and their hearts after she ripped them to shreds!

The darkness really came to play in this follow up to Shattered Djinns. Zuli finally frees her Alpha mates from their dreaded curse, but when it seems like everything is finally coming together, they are thrown into the pits of hell for a literal fight for survival. To say that this is a challenge is a very big understatement. The demons are hellbent on destroying not only their bonds but their very souls.
