About this eBook

Sixteen-year-old Perdita Rivers has spent her entire sheltered life being told what to do. Lately, she’s felt ready for a change, and the universe seems to agree. Her new best friend’s brother is the boy of Perdita’s dreams. Literally. Even though he plays hot and cold, she’s sure there’s more to it, but she’s kind of distracted by the sense she’s being followed - not to mention the rumours of wild animal sightings that seem to mean more to her new crush’s family than they should. Perdy’s on a mission to find the truth, but maybe the truth is the danger she should hide from, after all.

Quite a light read, yet with characters that you get to know and a story that unfolds quite cleverly. Nothing overt, more hints and inferences. Leaves me with an itch to read more, and I believe that, even though it's clearly a YA story, I'll be laying down the cash to know where Claire leads me this time :) M As an aside, I rate almost nothing 5 stars, so the 4 I give is not to be taken as a knock, but as praise - it's as high as I'm willing to give something that doesn't change my life or at the least leave me genuinely excited.

A different take on the Werewolf mythology. Werewolves can be harmed and aren't cured when they have changed. Were's that don't want to be and have hidden from other packs for years. I just purchased the next book. This author has me hooked (even if I did have some minor problems translating certain things into U.S. English speech).

Good start, but seemed very incomplete to me. It seemed like someone just arbitrarily hacked a single story into parts so there would be more 'books'. Plus I found an abrupt shift in perspective used to wrap the book very off-putting (and likely added to the sense that the story was hacked randomly into sections).
