Well. That was not at all the ending I was expecting. And that’s about all I can say about this book without giving it all away. I loved all the twists and turns. Several of the double-crosses surprised even me. I will admit to being exceptionally frustrated that Fiona kept throwing herself into the middle of danger. I’ve never been a fan of ‘too stupid to live’ characters, and Fiona was channelling that attitude hard in this book. Thankfully, she has allies. Some of whom are not at all what I was expecting. I’m so glad to finally have the last pieces to the puzzle, but I’m also kind of sorry it’s over now. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

A thrilling conclusion Fiona, grieving daughter and real estate agent, has finally pushed Alex, police detective and former lover, too far and is unsure who she can turn to now. As the story progresses danger keeps circling, friends come from unlikely places, and the mystery must be solved for the remaining pieces fall into place. W.L. Knightly’s A Savage Presence is a thrilling conclusion to the VIP Club series. I will now have to while away listlessly until the next series starts. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

A great conclusion to this series. Fiona finally gets out of Jack's control, but Juarez has his sight on her. Juarez is a dangerous man and has many men to back him up. Juarez has Fiona at his residence, but she is able to text Alex to help her. He gets there and takes Fiona with him. This sets more revenge on Juarez's mind. A thrilling conclusion to this chapter.
