What Treachery Is This?

Wow. I’m still a little speechless at the end of that ordeal. I will admit that the true villain behind everything wasn’t altogether a surprise to me, though. I kind of thought there was something wrong with that character from the moment we first met them, so to see them as the evil mastermind wasn’t a big stretch. However, I loved that we got to see so much more of the Lares’ world; new supernatural creatures, new connections, even more Lares… Lareses? ~shrug~ Whatever the plural of Lares is.

I could not turn the pages fast enough...my heart was racing right up to the words THE END!!!!!! Absolutely spellbinding!!!! We follow our Lars Aggy and her guardian Gren as they try to unravel the mystery behind the sudden vanishing of powerful and influential people in a multitude of magical planes as, one by one, they vanish in what appears to be thin air. When the Crone is taken, the magical horse comes straight to Aggy for help! Who or what ever is behind this is guilty of much more than treason among the ranks...and if it isn't stopped now, the world as we know it could very well collapse upon itself. Time is running out and Aggy is up against a monster she can not see...or IS she???. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Very exciting, downright stressful (in a Great way!) Lots of twists. Loved it!
