Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum was born twice. On the 20th June 1945, he was born of the flesh, but on 13th June 1956, he was born again. He consecrated his life to the Lord Jesus and to HIS service.
He held a Bachelor of Science degree from Fourah Bay College in the University of Sierra Leone, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Makerere, Kampala in Uganda. He was awarded a Doctor of Science by the University of Durham, Great Britain. He has co-authored over 160 scientific articles in leading international journals. He considered Jesus Christ the Lord of Science and scientific research an act of obedience to God’s command. He, therefore, made the Lord Jesus the Director of his research laboratory.
Professor Fomum dedicated more than 40 years of his life to Christian ministry. He made over 1200 missionary journeys across Camaroon and beyond, reaching six continents. He preached in over one thousand locations. His outreach included the building of a megachurch with over 1300 house-churches, the founding of the Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI) movement, and more. He and his team bore witness to more than 10,000 recorded miracles of healing and deliverance.
He and his wife and their seven children believed in a life of simplicity and self-imposed poverty. Their time, funds, hearts, and souls were dedicated to spreading the Gospel, planting church, building leaders, serving others, etc.
Since his home-going in 2009, his ministry has continued and spread to over 115 nations and grew to well over three million members.
