Slate is a platypus shifter and military buddy to a bar owner, Felix, who calls due to an electrical outage at the bar, which is about to start a shifter speed dating night. While there, Willow (Lo) presents herself as his mate although he is not having it. When the situation turns dicey at the bar, he takes her to his cabin for protection from the threat. The characters are interesting and have some great banter, especially at the bar front door. Lo is the best friend of the wife of Felix, and also human, so there is a support bond there as well. The storyline went in unexpected ways as backstories came out. Surprises and twists, like his sister and her situation, kept the pages turning, wanting to see what happened next. Loved the epilogue special - fireworks begets fireworks. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Was nearly a perfect story. I like how strong, confident and honest Lo is. And I get how hesitant and scared Slate is about getting together with anyone. An epilogue showing them happily settled together would've been nice. I just wanted a bit more.

Totally Sparked: A Shifter Speed Dating Romance by Zoey Indiana is fantastically amazing story that I have loved reading very much. This is book number seven in this fantastically amazing series that I have been hooked on since the very beginning and I am sitting on the edge of my chair wait for the rest to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading stories with shifters in them and paranormal romance.
