About this ebook

When nightmares walk the Earth. . .

Alora dismantled Terra, just as the Followers of Isis feared she would, freeing its occupants and restoring the magic (and denizens) of the past. Ra is alive and eager to reunite with his family. Alora desperately hopes he will heal Jesse, once and for all.

But not everyone is pleased, and not everything is as it ought to be...

Ra may be powerful and skilled, but he’s also amassed quite a few enemies over the years. As those opposed to his methods assemble against Alora, she must puzzle out the mysteries of her ancient past to solve problems that were never resolved. Can Alora save those she loves without losing herself in the process? Will the world survive the clash of power that was put on hold for millennia?

I felt like I had to wait forever, even though I didn't, to be able to read this book! Baker always includes an intriguing story line. I will say the her Birthright series is my absolute favorite ever, so if you enjoyed these definitely go read those books!

Wow! Bridget E. Baker is a master at telling a story! I read this series in a week and the final book doesn't disappoint! Baker knows how to pull her readers in with her heart-wrenching and heart-warming story. Make sure to have some tissues ready. The complex story line that she created with in the books draws to completion nicely in the final book. The details she uses from ancient Egyptian history pull together into the current world so smoothly. Though the series is over I wish there was more. Once you have fallen in love with her characters it is hard to see it all end but she ties up the series beautifully. Love her writing and recommend any of her books! She is truly one of my favorite authors! Can't wait for the next book series!

I had high expectations and it did not disappoint! Love developing, loss, family, revenge, magic, power and leadership. All in one book! The story starts where it left off, which was a bit of an adjustment for me, as it's been a couple of months since I read the last book (but I remembered as I read). But, if you're reading them all together, this will be great. I like how many issues were dealt with sensitively, that plot points were resolved and that the ending is satisfying - it didn't end too quickly, or drag on. Bridget always knows just how much description to give so I can picture what's going on (too much and I become bored, which I never do in this whole series). Overall, I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a strong, female lead. Alora is not only powerful, but also shows a full range of emotions and is always ready to help people.

About the author

Bridget won her first writing contest in first grade with a story about a day in the life of a little spot of air. (Who says you need a good hook?)

She hasn't stopped writing (or talking) since then, although she was briefly derailed by her pursuit of a legal career. Ultimately, boring words, well, bored her. She quit her job to spend less time counting gobs of ill gotten gains, and more time writing stories.

She loves her husband and all five of her kids (most days). She has a yappy dog and a bouncy dog, three goofy horses, lions head rabbits, more chickens than she will admit to having, and two demanding cats. Every day is a battle between playing with kids, riding her horse Leo, and writing. If her publication speed has slowed down, you can blame the kids and the horse.

She makes cookies all the time, and thinks they should have their own food group. In a possibly misguided attempt at balancing the scales between overconsumption and exertion, she kickboxes every day. So if you don't like her kids, her cookies, or her books, maybe don't tell her in person.

Bridget E. Baker also writes romance and women's fiction under the pen name B. E. Baker.
