About this ebook

Welcome to Farraday Country, a twist on the favorite 7 Brides for 7 Brothers theme set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY bestselling author Chris Keniston.

Having a special way with horses since childhood, Connor Farraday has always wanted to establish his own stable. Hard, dangerous work in the oil fields earned him the money to purchase the land his neighbor once promised him. But when he returns home, he finds an unexpected development that may jeopardize his dream—and his heart.

Top in her field, Catherine Hammond is juggling a demanding legal career and raising a young daughter with PTSD. After suddenly losing her grandfather, Catherine returns to his West Texas ranch to settle his affairs. Little does she know the impact that kindness and friendship shown by the small town, and a certain cowboy, will have on her daughter—and her.

I'm going to be sad when all the siblings are married off and this series is finished. I am loving each book on the Farraday family! And I'm enjoying reading about life in this small 'Mayberry' type Texan town, connecting with the characters and their lives. Also, the humour Chris has in her books really makes for a fun read. She's had me laughing often because it is so real...I can actually see it happening. Off to read Declan's story!

Three for three! Connor is a beautiful novel that reinforces my love of the contemporary cowboy tales. An oil field roughneck and a wild horse wrangler, Connor is the epitome of the strength, gentleness and true heart of the cowboy. His love of the tough and dangerous oilfield can not compete with his dream of creating a ranch to train wild horses to become outstanding quarter horses. BUT that dream may be waylaid when the neighbor who agreed to sell his ranch and finance it dies before the deal can be complete. When the granddaughter and great granddaughter show up, Connor falls for both of them right off the bat. His interaction with the little girl who has a form of PTSD will melt the heart of anyone who reads the book, but some of his decisions may alienate the beauty who has final say on the ranch. I requested an advanced reader copy of this book and have voluntary reviewed it. I love it!

Love is a fascinating emotion. How can such a powerful feeling break hearts, mend fences, blend families and cause so many other complications, but prove to be the most sought after feeling in the world? Perhaps, the key to understanding this haunting occurrence is bigger than what we see and factored into what we feel. Connor is currently my favorite story in the Farraday County series. In a world full of so much anger and violence, it's nice to escape into a beautiful canvas of kindness and peace. Catherine and Connor's romance proves that an open mind and an open heart can overcome obstacles that seem insurmountable. Hope and love are two feelings a person can never have enough of. That's the unforgettable message Ms. Keniston delivers in Connor.

About the author

USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well-known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Currently working on the contemporary romance series, Farraday Country, Chris brings stories of falling in love, matchmaking, Texas Cowboys, family values, and all around entertaining shenanigans that fans have grown to love and expect from her bestselling books.

In her Aloha Series, Chris tips her hat to the military writing poignant and sometimes funny stories of life with former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivor’s guilt, an accidental wedding and so more continues to make the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

Readers won't want to miss Chris' romantic women's fiction novels that include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of more than a dozen contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in North Texas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.
