I first read this book as a 13 year old kid who wished nothing more than to be whisked away from earth to a place where everything was different... and after re-reading it at 26 I see all that enchanted me and more. I only didn't give five stars because the type face has a lot of errors... like "m" for "rn" and such. It was very distracting for me.

This series is fantastic, blending old fantasy worlds with song spells, and also dealing with the nature of a sexist society and having to navigate that. I would recommend.
