About this ebook

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Elvis Cole and Joe Pike series comes a thrilling novel featuring LAPD K-9 Officer Scott James and his German shepherd, Maggie.

Nine months ago, a shocking assault by unidentified men killed Scott James' partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty—until he meets his new partner.

Maggie is not doing so well, either. A German shepherd who survived two tours in Afghanistan sniffing explosives before losing her handler, her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s.

They are each other’s last chance. And they’re about to investigate the one case no one wants them to touch: identifying the men who murdered Stephanie. But what they find could ultimately break them both.

Good cop story with psychological elements for both a cop and a military k9 struggling to redeem their worth. Good insight into What it takes to build a bond with a police dog...and a mystery to solve as well.

As a long standing fan, I was looking forward to another Robert Crais novel. It took awhile to get going, but a good read. Good twist. My only disappointment was the length. Seemed too short for the price.

SO LOVED this book; it really took you inside the mind and heart of man's best friend and immerses you in Maggie's world as she perceives it through her senses. So much more than a suspense novel starting a dog and her human; the heart of this book illuminates the world as experienced by Maggie. Deeply affecting and impossible to put down, Suspect gives us the most appealing and engaging heroine in years.. A MUST for dog lovers who enjoy the suspense/thriller genre!!
