About this ebook

A working class hero discovers his true family—and his true love—while saving a sick child in a romance that “will melt the most jaded of hearts” (Kirkus).

Miami police officer Nick Martell doesn’t hesitate to be a bone marrow donor for Myles Harrison, a sick child he’s never met. But once in the heart of the wealthy Harrison family, Nick learns a shocking truth—he is actually a Harrison himself, born of a secret affair. Though the blue-collar bachelor struggles to accept the elite clan as his own, he’s compelled to stay for the sake of helping Myles…and for the connection he feels for the child’s beautiful nurse.

Amanda Kozlov never felt such a strong and sudden passion for a man before. But she just can’t let herself fall for a guy like Nick. His life as a cop is too dangerous and the wounds from his explosive family history are too fresh. Yet after watching Nick bond with Myles and experiencing tenderness in his arms, Amanda longs to take a chance on the only man with the power to shatter her heart. As drama swirls around them, only time will tell if they’re brave enough to give their love the future it deserves. . .

OH MY!!! Words cannot describe how much I loved It Might Be You by Jennifer Gracen, book five in her Harrison series. This is a story that is full of surprises that affects the lives of two families and a chance at love. When his police precinct had a bone marrow donor drive Nick volunteered never imagining he might be a match to anyone. When the phone call comes telling Nick that he’s a match to a young boy, Miles, with cancer he is willing to donate, even though he would have to travel to Long Island from his home in Miami. Problems arise when he tells his parents about this, they are not happy to have him do this. It seems that Miles’ grandfather is actually Nick’s birth father and his mom never told Charles Harrison II that she was pregnant when she left his employ. While in New York Nick not only bonds with his four Harrison half-siblings, he falls for Miles’ nurse, Amanda. Amanda enjoyed spending time with Nick, showing him Manhattan, and following up on their attraction. Nick and Amanda are perfect for each other but are not so great at communicating and expressing their feelings. It takes time and a number of missteps before they figure out how to make things work for them. I loved how Ms. Gracen helped them figure out how to make a lasting and loving relationship. I felt that Miles and the Harrison siblings added a great deal to this story as well as helped Nick accept the Harrison family dynamics. Nick’s support from his parents also helped his acceptance. I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Gracen is a wonderful story teller drawing me into her books, making me forget the world around me and not letting me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

5 star review of It Might Be You (The Harrisons #5) by Jennifer Gracen This is the final book in The Harrisons series and what a fitting way to end the series.Jennifer Gracen is a relatively new author to me and although I have only read one previous book in The Harrison series, I had no trouble diving in to It Might Be You. Imagine finding out that you are a Harrison, the result of a secret affair? What would you do? That is the position that office Nick Martell find himself in when he is asked to help a sick child. Amanda Kozlov is the nurse charged with looking after Myles. She fights her attraction for Nick who is struggling to come to terms with his new found family. Will Amanda be prepared to take a chance that Nick could be “the one” or will she flee? Will Nick decide to risk it all for love? The writing was strong and the characters were awesome. I really liked the tough yet vulnerable side to both Nick and Amanda and that once they decided to jump in, they gave it their all. This was an emotional roller coaster of a ride, one that had me tearing up at times. I knew dealing with a sick child who needs a bone marrow transplant was going to tug at my heart strings but such is the writing of Jennifer Gracen that you couldn’t help but be drawn into the story she wove. I was so invested in this story I couldn’t put it down.

The Harrison's are one crazy messed up clan and what a great way this author came up with to introduce a new Harrison to the crazy. All the characters in this series are amazing and Nick and Amanda fit right in. Miami police officer Nick Martel is a kind soul who finds out his bone marrow is a match for a young boy in New York who is desperately in need of a transplant. Never hesitating Nick agrees to help the and his family. Never could he have imagined how this decision will change his life. Not only does he meet Amanda. She's the home nurse caring for Miles, the young boy Nick is there to help. He also discovers the truth about his biological father and the Harrison clan. This is a fascinating story and I don't think you should miss it. Put it on the must read, I highly recommend it.
