About this ebook

She intentionally abducted him because of his prowess, so, when the chance arose, he stole her for revenge.

Aylia is on a quest to get pregnant, and in the time-honored tradition of her people, she must kidnap a suitable male for the task. Seducing a reluctant warrior is harder than she expected, especially when her body turns traitor and melts at his touch. When he flips the situation around and takes her prisoner, he doesn't just steal her body, he also takes her heart. And she might just have to kill him to get it back.

Being the scourge of the galaxy comes with consequences, like women wanting his body, but Jaro's never had someone kidnap him for his seed. Fighting the female's allure, the captive becomes the captor, and he learns that not all battles are fought using fists and knives.

Through the vastness of space, brothels and unmentionable places in between, can this stubborn pair overlook their pride and past to come together? Or will they forever abduct and pleasurably torture each other?

Once again Langlais takes us out of this world with snark, sass, and a healthy dose of unmistakable chemistry. Wound throughout her suspenseful plot was the type of relationship that many of us wish for, even if it does start out on rocky shores. I loved watching the plot unfold, seeing the characters come together and realise what was right in front of them. Throughout, Langlais also continues to develop the galaxy in a manner that is easy for readers to picture, without ever hampering your imagination. I’m thoroughly enjoying the multiplicity of races and species that Langlais introduces us to. They’re all unique and well developed. The development spans morphology, general characteristics, personalities, and at times cultural histories. I can really picture them and am having a blast with the species names. The way in which Langlais develops her characters’ emotions is subtle yet poignant. I felt as if I were experiencing it alongside them. Anger and lust, fear and betrayal all shine through. Aylia’s quest was fantastic. Seeing her come into her own while chasing her mate revealed a great deal about her character. The vulnerability underlying Jaro’s personality is intriguing and makes him approachable. At the same time, he’s all alpha male and I couldn’t help falling for him. The cousins were a fantastic bit of comic relief. I loved getting to know them as individuals and the way in which they added to the story, giving us further insights into who Jaro really is. I can’t wait to see these two in their own story. This novel was definitely a welcome addition to Langlais’ Alien Abduction series. I devoured it in a single sitting and found myself immediately reaching for the next novel in the series.
